LIFE VISION
In mathematics, an equation is a
mathematical statement indicating that two algebraic expressions
or quantities are the same or equal.
Equations are written with an equal sign, as in
5 + X = 10. The number 5 is the known, which could be your
education background, talents, gifts skills, experience and so
and so while X is the unknown- which is your life vision.
The number 10 indicates your destiny. To solve this equation,
you need to find the value of X. The value of X is the key to
putting all the life puzzle together. We must discover the
purpose for our lives. This is the X factor that many don’t
bother to uncover.
Why is
a Life Vision so important? A life vision is the purpose for
your life. They very reason for your existence or what you were
born to being and do. In discovering our life vision, we find
out not only our destiny, but also our gifts, talents,
creativity and relationships that will help us to be unique.
Vision
brings life to a lifeless situation, sees a fetus in the womb of
the medically proclaimed barren, holds a lemon but see lemonade.
It is the hope of the hopeless. The good news is that there is a
huge vision for your life. Your life was meant to be meaningful.
He has plans and purpose that He wants to accomplish through
you. The greatest asset you can ever have is to discover God’s
vision for your life.
How to discover
your Life Vision
A step
by step Approach
Find a
serene and quiet place. Carry nothing with you except a notepad
(or journal) with a good pen. Eliminate distractions such as
bright light, noise or other people activities. Sit comfortably.
Say a prayer to God to help and guide you. The prayer could be
as simple as “ Dear heavenly father, thank you for the gift of
life. Help me to know your vision for my life. Amen.” Then close
your eyes and imagine the life you want. Write down what you
see- the thoughts, ideas, pictures, events or occurrences that
comes to your mind. Circle any three that fits with your passion
and desires. Strike out the others. Those three have become your
Life Vision. That’s what you want to achieve with your life.
